What can Google Now do?


           Hey, welcome readers! After reading the heading you can easily guess what I am going to introduce today. Google now has been a part of Android from Android 4.1 Jellybean but its integration increased in Android 4.4 Kit Kat. You would be knowing that Google now is a personal assistant which helps you by showing cards at relevant time and place. A few posts earlier I told you about installing Google Now Launcher in Moto G and other phones

         Well here in this post I will tell you some new voice commands of Google Now which many users don't know! So, lets go ahead...

Firstly speak to Google Now "google now voice commands" will open a list of voice commands of basic features like calling, texting, navigation etc. some of these commands are:

  • "Call [contact name]"
  • "Text [contact name] that [message]"
  • "Email [contact name], subject [speak subject], [message]"
  • "Set an alarm of 5 AM"
  • "Set an alarm of 6 hours from now"
  • "Note to self: [speak your note]"
  • "Navigate to [destination]"
  • "Remind me of [your reminder]"
  • "When is my next appointment?"
  • "What's the weather here?"
After basic commands, there are some isolated commands like to which Google Now responds geniously.

  • "What's the time here?"
  • "What's the time in [city/country name]"
  • "Launch [app name]"
  • "Go to [website name]"
  • "Take a picture"
  • "Record/make a video"
  • "play some music"
  • "Movies nearby."

Not only these commands, you can also ask Google Now questions regarding maths, stock quotes, facts,  like: 
  • "What's the height of Taj mahal?"
  • "How far is Sun from Earth?"
  • "How old is Sachin Tendulkar?"
  • "Where was Newton born?"
  • "What's the cube root of 1324?"
  • "How many grams are there in 12 pounds?"
Some Funny Commands:

There are a few questions to which Google gives funny answers.. These are termed as 'Google Now Easter Eggs'. A few of these are:
  • "Do a barrel roll"
  • "Make me a sandwich"
  • "What is the best smart phone?"
  • "What is the nature of universe?"
  • "Who are you?"
